We have all heard of the old African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This is one of my favorite sayings and one we believe strongly in. Or at least use to. Turn on the T.V. and see what is being taught, lived, and passed off as acceptable today and question my favorite saying and the fact that I am not sure that I want my kids taught by the village I live in. As I pray this God reassures me that He is God. You see, I tend to be a worrier. And worries brings on doubt and fear, and is an enemy to faith. But God is in control; he has plans for us and our kids (Jeremiah 29:11). And when I am here on Sunday and see our volunteers interacting with the kids, or coming in to say hi to the children, or their little dances they do with the toddlers, which I do catch on video but promise them I would not put on Facebook. All this makes me realize my favorite quote still holds true, “It takes a village,” no wait! Not a village, “It takes a CHURCH to raise a child.” There that sounds better, and I believe that if we all partner up and love on this kids in our care, we are going to see an awesome future for them and the kingdom of God. So who is with me? Let’s be part of this village/Church together and impact lives as a family.
Life: zoe (Greek) Life real and genuine; a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed. All life throughout the universe, is derived-i.e it always (only) comes from and is sustained by God’s self- existent life. The Lord intimately shares His gift of life with people, creating each in His image which gives all the capacity to know His eternal life. ( biblehub.com) Today’s youth are intellectual and hungry to develop a connection with Christ. We believe that youth are ready to meet the passionate and loving Father and to grow spiritually in His grace. The Rock is committed to seeing youth reach their highest potential in Christ. “Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
